Freddy’s opens Friday at Missouri State University’s Plaster Student Union

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers®, a fast-casual restaurant concept, opens Friday, August 16, at Missouri State University’s Plaster Student Union, in time for the start of the fall semester. The location is owned and operated by Chartwells Higher Education, a licensee of Freddy’s.

“Growing our concept into nontraditional spaces such as college campuses has been an exciting way for us to expand,” said Randy Simon, President and CEO. “We hope our delicious menu offerings and fast, friendly service will resonate with staff and students of MSU.”

Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant is closed Saturdays. Freddy’s is known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers made with lean 100 percent ground beef, Vienna® Beef hot dogs, crispy shoestring fries and frozen custard treats made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
