MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers®, a fast-casual restaurant concept, opens Wednesday, Oct. 13, at Central Michigan University’s Central Eats Food Court. The location is owned and operated by Chartwells Higher Education, a licensee of Freddy’s.
“Growing our concept into nontraditional spaces such as college campuses has been an exciting way for us to expand,” said Chris Dull, President and CEO of Freddy’s. “We look forward to getting to know and serving guests at CMU.”
Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday. Freddy’s is known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers made with lean 100 percent ground beef, Vienna® Beef hot dogs, crispy shoestring fries and frozen custard treats made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
“Chartwells is thrilled to have Freddy’s as a new dining option on campus this fall,” said Tyson Dubay, Resident District Manager. “We strive to provide a variety of food options at CMU, and we feel Freddy’s delicious cooked-to-order menu items and fast, friendly service will resonate with many of our students and staff.”
