Freddy’s opens walk-up and drive-thru location in Tucson

August 15, 2022

TUCSON, Ariz. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers®, a fast-casual restaurant concept, opens its fifth Tucson area location Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 2744 E Broadway Blvd. The opening marks the brand’s second walk-up and drive-thru model without an indoor dining room. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with Tucson Chamber of Commerce is planned for Monday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m. Non-profit group, CASA Support Council for Pima County, Inc., will receive 10 percent of all regular and large-sized frozen custard treat sales through Sept. 15.

“Our new location is a convenient option for mobile-minded and on-the-go guests who will benefit from this model’s features,” said Jason Ingermanson, franchise owner. “Once you’ve had a chance to try a fresh meal and dessert treat from Freddy’s, we hope guests in the area will keep us top-of-mind for family dinners and drive-thru convenience.”

The restaurant features a double drive-thru, a walk-up window and 34 seats on the patio. Mobile ordering through the Freddy’s app and website is also available. Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

“We’re frequently receiving inquiries from those who want to see a Freddy’s nearby, driving us to work hard on our development plans for additional locations,” said Ingermanson. “We’re looking forward to continuing the growth of our fast-casual burger concept throughout the Tucson area.”
