El Paso’s first Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opened to a long line of cars on its first day of business Tuesday morning on the East Side.
The franchise, originally from Kansas, opened at 1860 N. Zaragoza Road, an already bustling business corner near Montwood Drive and Joe Battle Boulevard. The 2,844-square-foot restaurant opened with dine-in service with social distancing due to the coronavirus, as well as drive-thru service.
“Zaragoza Road has a steady flow of traffic through the area and is home to a wide variety of retail businesses and restaurants that makes it a great next stop for Freddy’s,” franchise owner Paul Hoover said in an email. “We’re excited to enter this dynamic neighborhood and bring delicious, cooked-to-order food to the surrounding businesses and residents.”
