DURANGO, Colo. – Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers®, a fast-casual restaurant concept, opens Tuesday, Aug. 10, at 1250 Escalante Dr. Freddy’s is known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers made with lean 100 percent ground beef, Vienna® Beef hot dogs, crispy shoestring fries and frozen custard treats made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
“Our restaurant atmosphere hints at retro, reminiscent of the late 1940s and early 1950s,” said David Giesen, franchise owner. “Values of unity and quality family time from that postwar era are the foundation of our concept, but we mix in modern day conveniences like digital menu boards to create a dining experience that’s timeless and comfortable for Guests of all ages. We hope our delicious menu offerings, and dedication to genuine hospitality and fast, friendly service will resonate with Guests in the area.”
The 2,500 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 78 Guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service, DoorDash delivery and mobile ordering through the Freddy’s app are also available. Hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
“First-time Guests often ask, ‘What makes a Freddy’s steakburger special?’,” said Giesen. “Every burger is cooked to order. We start with lean 100 percent ground beef, sprinkle on our famous seasoning, press the patty thin and sear on a flat-top grill until the edges are deliciously crispy. We regularly recommend the Original Double, which comes standard with two patties, two slices of cheese, mustard, onion slices and pickle planks.”
