After a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a new kind of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is officially open in Salina.
The prototype restaurant has no indoor dining with instead drive-thru and walk-up service and outdoor dining only.
Renee Duxler, the economic and workforce development director for the Salina Area Chamber of Commerce, introduced and thanked JRI Hospitality, the franchise owner of Freddy’s in Salina for its continued investment in the community.
“Certainly, throughout the years (with) JRI Hospitality, we have done this a number of times with this team,” Duxler said. “We’re happy to celebrate this morning, not just this new Freddy’s, but…this innovative (one).”
She said this is a great location for the restaurant with parks and attractions nearby, Salina Central High School just down the road and a trail system that connects not too far from the intersection at nearby Crawford and Ohio Streets.
