History of Peanut Butter

Peanuts have a long and storied history, originating from South America, and eventually migrating to the United States nearly 400 years ago. From there, they found their roots in American history as a primary source of protein during the Civil War. It was not until the St. Louis World’s Fair of 1904 when the peanut butter you know and love was brought to the forefront of the cuisine scene.
