Taking part in this celebration of several different frozen custard flavor combinations is as simple as ordering from your local Freddy’s. What is the Freddy’s Summer Custard Tour?
In addition to our selection of delicious steakburgers, frozen custard treats and other tasty offerings, Freddy’s regularly introduces limited-time only items of both the sweet and savory variety. During the Freddy’s Summer Custard Tour, there’s not just one of these special treats to enjoy, such as the Dr Pepper® Frost, but over 10 different Custard of the Week creations to try. Featuring our rich and creamy frozen custard, a wide range of toppings and mix-ins, and several of your favorite treat preparations, the Freddy’s Summer Custard Tour is already underway!
How long does the Custard of the Week event last?
If you’ve been to Freddy’s recently, then you’ve probably already seen one of the Custard of the Week creations pop up on the menu. Beginning on June 1 and running through August 30, Freddy’s guests have 13 weeks in total to enjoy extra frozen custard fun. Each week during the Summer Custard Tour, a different sundae, shake, concrete or other treat will be featured. Therefore, when you have the craving for frozen custard near you, you can order your favorite frozen custard creation or experience the thrill of a new flavor combination at your local Freddy’s!
What are some of the frozen custard treats “now on tour” at the Freddy’s near me?
Whether you visit a Freddy’s drive-thru, dine in at one of our restaurants or order for carry-out or delivery through the Freddy’s app, find a featured Summer Custard Tour item as well as the usual collection of savory dishes and sweet selections. To tantalize your taste buds, here are three of the available Custard of the Week treats:
1. Rocky Road Sundae
Kicking off the Summer Custard Tour is the Rocky Road Sundae. In this tasty treat, marshmallow, chocolate chips and pecans are layered on top of creamy chocolate frozen custard and finished with whipped cream and a cherry. Pecan fans may also be interested in the Custard of the Week flavor available in August – the Toffee Pecan Concrete Made with HEATH®.
2. Cherry Cheesecake Concrete
Fruit and New York-style cheesecake are a familiar pairing. As evident in the Strawberry Dreamcake on the regular menu, combining these elements with creamy frozen custard makes for an even more delicious indulgence. In July, the Summer Custard Tour includes two different fruit, cheesecake and frozen custard combinations. The Cherry Cheesecake Concrete arrives in mid-July, while the Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cheesecake Concrete wraps up the month and welcomes in August.
3. Peanut Butter Brownie Concrete Made with Butterfinger®
One of three different peanut butter and frozen custard combinations offered on the Summer Custard Tour, the Peanut Butter Brownie Concrete Made with Butterfinger® arrives for the second to last week of this event. The peanut flavor in this treat comes with the double portion of Butterfinger® pieces, which are blended with fresh vanilla frozen custard and an entire chocolate brownie.
What if I missed a frozen custard flavor combination or want to have it again, even after the tour concludes?
Whether the Bananas Foster Shake during Week 2 of the Summer Custard Tour passed you by or you want the Cookie Dough Overload Concrete to become a new fixture on your list of Freddy’s favorites, many of the Custard of the Week flavors can be ordered anytime using the Create Your Own menu option. If you want to try one of your favorite combinations in a different type of treat, you can do that by creating your own frozen custard creation too.
